Over the past eight years, it has been our privilege to know and work with Judy Evangelista. We first met when she joined the staff at our home church. It became immediately apparent to us that Judy was a very sensitive and compassionate woman with exceptional people skills. She related very well to others in time of need.
More recently, Judy visited George’s father in his home, as he was unable to get out anymore. When he passed away at the age of 99, we asked Judy to conduct his funeral service. Judy made the service so very personal for the family and everyone present with her beautiful words. She allowed time for eulogies and even went into the congregation with a microphone so that those who didn’t feel comfortable speaking from the pulpit could just stand and speak. It was a moving and at times even humorous service that for the family was a healing celebration of his life.
Knowing Judy and her husband Don has been a blessing in our lives. Now through their care giving business, they are helping meet the needs of families who are trying to allow their seniors to remain independent. This is what we were able to do with Pa because of his wonderful caregiver! This venture befits Judy and Don so well. It’s who they are! I know they will continue to be very professional while treating their clients like they were family too.
